It is our intention to break down barriers of research and communication between the European East and West. Therefore, we define Central and Eastern Europe as the area once belonging to the Holy Roman Empire plus. Research topics concerning any territory formerly culturally and politically connected to the HRE may be included.

We wish to provide a forum, in which scholars from central and eastern Europe can present their research to an international audience and exchange thoughts and results with colleagues worldwide.
